Everything You Need to Know

Answers to the most common questions from architects, contractors, and procurement teams specifying aluminum cladding materials.

Product Range & Material Options

4 questions

AluAone manufactures four main product lines: (1) Color Coated Aluminum Coil — roller-coated coil for roofing, cladding, gutters, and facades in alloy A1100/3003/3105/5005/5052/5754, 0.20–1.30mm thick, up to 2020mm wide. (2) Pre-Finished Aluminum Sheet — flat sheets cut-to-size, 0.50–4.0mm, for curtain wall, spandrel, and sign panels. (3) Fabricated/Processed Aluminum Panel — CNC-routed, folded panels with stiffener ribs, ready for installation, 2.0–4.0mm. (4) Aluminum Composite Material (ACM) — three-layer sandwich panel with A2/B1/B2 core, 3.0–8.0mm.
We offer A1100, 3003, 3105, 5005, 5052, and 5754. A1100 is the most cost-effective for general applications. 3003/3105 offer superior formability for roofing and roll-forming. 5005 provides excellent anodized appearance and corrosion resistance. 5052/5754 deliver higher strength for structural and marine applications. Our technical team helps you select the optimal alloy for your project.
Pre-finished sheet is a flat, coated aluminum sheet cut to your specified dimensions — you or your fabricator handle folding and forming. Fabricated panel is a fully processed, ready-to-install panel: we CNC-route, fold, add stiffener ribs, and drill mounting holes per your engineering drawings. Fabricated panels save significant on-site labor but require 20–25 day lead time including engineering review.
Aluminum Composite Material is a sandwich panel: two pre-painted aluminum skins bonded to a core material. It's lighter than solid aluminum, highly flat, and cost-effective for large-area cladding. Use ACM when: budget is a primary concern (Cost Index A+++), you need large flat panels without waviness, or the project requires specific fire ratings (A2 mineral core for high-rise, B1 for mid-rise commercial). For structural applications or projects requiring 100% non-combustible material, choose solid aluminum panels instead.

Coating Systems & Color Options

4 questions

PVDF (Kynar 500) is the premium exterior coating — 70% fluoropolymer resin, AAMA 2605 certified, 20+ year color retention. Best for exposed facades, curtain walls, and coastal environments. FEVE is a comparable high-performance alternative with similar exterior durability. Polyester (PE) is cost-effective for interior applications, mild climates, or projects with shorter lifecycle requirements. AluAone uses paint exclusively from PPG and AkzoNobel, applied in 3–4 coating layers.
AAMA 2605 is the highest exterior coating specification by the American Architectural Manufacturers Association. It mandates 70% Kynar 500 fluoropolymer resin and tests for: color retention (ΔE ≤5 after 10 years Florida exposure), chalk resistance, gloss retention, film adhesion (cross-cut test), impact resistance, abrasion, salt spray (4000+ hours), and chemical resistance. Specifying AAMA 2605 protects your investment — the facade maintains appearance for decades. All AluAone exterior products are Intertek-tested to AAMA 2605.
AluAone offers: Metallic finishes (silver, gold, bronze, champagne), Solid colors (any RAL/Pantone/NCS), Wood grain textures (oak, walnut, teak, cherry), Marble/stone effects, Brushed & Mirror finishes, Spectra color-shifting effects, and Anodized look. All fully customizable — bring any RAL K7, Pantone, NCS code, or physical sample. Digital color archiving ensures reorders match precisely even years later.
We achieve ΔE≤1.00 average (Intertek-certified) — 2× better than AAMA 2605's ΔE≤2 requirement. The process: (1) Spectrophotometer-based color matching with digital formula archiving. (2) 3-stage batch verification: pre-coating sample, in-line monitoring, and final inspection. (3) Retained color samples shipped with every order for on-site verification. (4) Digital archive ensures reorders match the original precisely, even years later.

Fire Ratings & Compliance

3 questions

For ACM panels: A2 mineral core (non-combustible, highest rating), B1 fire-retardant core (self-extinguishing), B2 standard PE core (for interior/low-rise). Pre-finished aluminum sheet and solid panels are 100% aluminum — inherently non-combustible, meeting the strictest fire codes without any core material concerns.
It depends on your country's building code, building height, and occupancy type. General guidance: High-rise (>18m), hospitals, schools, public buildings → A2 or solid aluminum. Mid-rise commercial in Europe → B1 minimum. Low-rise, interior, or regions without strict codes → B2 acceptable. AluAone's technical team provides free fire rating consultation for your specific project — we understand AS 1530 (Australia), BS 8414 (UK), NFPA 285 (US), EN 13501-1 (EU), and other regional standards.
The 2017 Grenfell Tower fire in London led to sweeping global changes in facade fire regulations. Many countries now ban combustible cladding above certain heights. The UK banned combustible materials above 18m (Amended Building Regulations). Australia tightened NCC requirements. Many Middle Eastern countries mandate non-combustible facades. AluAone offers: A2 mineral core ACM, and solid aluminum panels (inherently non-combustible) — both meeting post-Grenfell compliance requirements.

MOQ, Lead Times & Shipping

4 questions

Color coated coil: MOQ 3 tons, 7–15 days. Pre-finished sheet: MOQ ~500 sqm, 10–15 days. Fabricated panels: NO minimum, 20–25 days (including engineering). ACM: MOQ ~300 sqm, 15–20 days. Standard colors from safety stock ship faster. For urgent projects, ask about expedited scheduling.
FOB (Free on Board) — you arrange shipping from our port. CIF (Cost, Insurance, Freight) — we deliver to your destination port. DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) — we handle everything including customs clearance. We provide dedicated export packaging (wooden pallets, PE film, corner protectors) and full shipment tracking for all orders.
Yes — this is a key AluAone advantage. We support project-based ordering: multiple colors, different thicknesses, and mixed product types in a single container. No need to hit per-SKU minimums. This is especially valuable for facade projects with multiple color zones or building renovation projects.
Every shipment includes: Mill Test Certificate (MTC), Intertek test reports, coating thickness measurement records, color measurement records (ΔE), packing list with panel/coil identification numbers, formal warranty certificate (for PVDF orders), and Certificate of Origin. Additional documents (SGS/BV inspection, fumigation certificate, etc.) available on request.

Certifications & Quality Control

3 questions

ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management), ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management), ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health & Safety), AAMA 2605 (High-Performance Exterior Coating), EN 13501-1 (Fire Classification). All certifications are current and audited annually.
4-stage quality control: (1) Raw material verification — alloy composition, mechanical properties, surface quality on every coil. (2) In-process coating control — thickness, adhesion, gloss, ΔE monitored real-time. (3) Laboratory testing (Intertek) — color uniformity, salt spray 4000+ hrs, acid resistance, impact, abrasion. (4) Final inspection and documentation before packaging.
We exclusively use coatings from PPG (Duranar, Coraflon), AkzoNobel (Interpon), and KFCC (specialty finishes). We do not use generic or unbranded paints. This ensures consistent quality and enables formal manufacturer-backed warranties.
